Radio Award
The Radio Award is awarded for a news or current affairs program or documentary (either a single program, a series or a compilation of highlights) broadcast in Australia.
The finalists are:
- Carol Dowling, Another Stolen Generation, Noongar Radio. This feature highlights the disproportionate placement of Aboriginal children in out-of-home care in Western Australia.
- Tim Bishop, My Man and Me presents Australian singer-songwriter, storyteller, Tim Bishop’s story of his relationship with his late partner, Matthew, Bundjalung Warrior. Bishop addresses the stigmatisation of race, sexuality and illness, advocating for the right to live and love in freedom.
- Ann Arnold, The end of the road, ABC Radio National. This feature critiques aged-based licence testing in preventing road accidents.
- Sarah Dingle, The Salvos: A matter of trust, ABC Radio National. The Salvos: A matter of trust examines the cover-up of child sexual abuse at The Salvation Army, using new evidence and previously unreported allegations.
