Contact officer training
Contact officers play a key role in workplaces as "go-to" staff members who assist employees experiencing discrimination, bullying, or harassment. Generally, contact officers are not human resources staff or managers as these roles may conflict with the responsibilities of a contact officer.
Contact officers can help to create a positive workplace culture, as a proactive workplace culture, as a proactive measure in preventing discrimination, bullying, and harassment. For this reason, contact officer programs are widely incorporated across government, business, and community sectors.
Our training uses scenario-based learning with case study examples inspired by real life situations. These scenarios are drawn from our own investigation and conciliation service, so that your staff receive an authentic and relevant training experience.
Contact officer training
Increase your team members’ understanding of inappropriate workplace behaviour, and provide them with the knowledge and skills they need to become contact officers. Suitable for new contact officers or as a refresher for existing contact officers.
Choose between in-house training for your organisation or open training if your numbers don't warrant an in-house course. In the open course, you can register between 1-5 members of your organisation to complete the training alongside individuals from other agencies.

This session is run online over two half days: Wednesday 13th November 9.30am – 1.00pm AEDT and Thursday 14th November 9.30am – 1.00pm AEDT.

Please note: Attendance at both sessions is required. We accept a maximum of 5 participants from any one agency. We require a minimum of 8 participants total to run this session.
