Subject:	Exemption of cinemas to Anti Discrimination findings - Disabled Access

To the Anti Discrimination Commissioner;

I write to ask that you do not grant an exemption to the major movie house networks from providing 
improved disabled access to their venues for a further 2.5 year period. 

It is a disgrace that, of the three and a half thousand cinema screens in Australia, only 24 have full 
disabled access. 

Such a statistic is shameful and the lack of movement by major cinema complex owners on this matter 
in recent times suggests that such an exemption is not warranted.

I urge you to ensure that this appalling situation is rectified through full use of your legislative powers.
